  I'm having problems logging in and I am an internal applicant.

If you are a University of Missouri employee, you will access the Employment Opportunities site by going to employment selecting internal applicant and logging in with your SSOID and password. From Self Service, go to Recruiting Activities > Careers > Search.  Then you will be able to apply for the job(s) you select.

  What are the supported browsers?

Make sure your computer's operating system and web browser are supported by the system. Supported browsers include:

  • Linux x86: no browsers are supported.
  • Linux x86-64: Firefox 3.5.
  • Mac OS X 10.4: Firefox 3.5, Firefox 3.6, Safari 3, and Safari 4.
  • Mac OS X 10.5: Firefox 3.5 and Firefox 3.6.
  • Mac OS X 10.6: Firefox 3.5 and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows XP: Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows 2003: Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows Vista (32 bit): Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows Vista (64 bit): Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows 2008: Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9.
  • Windows 2008R2: Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, and Firefox 3.5.
  • Windows 7 (32 bit): Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.
  • Windows 7 (64 bit): Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3.5, and Firefox 3.6.

  How do I clear my web browser's cache (aka temporary Internet files)?

  • Internet Explorer: Gory (IE 7 and 8) or Temporary Internet Files (IE 6), click Delete..., choose Temporary Internet Files, and click Delete (IE 7 and 8). Or, click Delete Cookies..., Delete Files..., and Clear History (IE 6).
  • Firefox: Go to Tools > Clear Recent History. From the Time Range to Clear, select Everything and click Clear Now. Close all open Firefox windows.
  • Safari: Go to Safari > Empty Cache. Close all open Safari windows.

  How do I ensure Java script is enabled?

  • Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options. On the Security tab, click Custom Level. Scroll down to the section entitled Scripting. Under Active Scripting, select Enable and click OK.
  • Firefox: Go to Tools > Options. Select Content and select Enable JavaScript. Then, click OK.
  • Safari: Go to Safari > Preferences. Select Security and select Enable JavaScript.

  Make sure your web browser preferences are set to accept session cookies.

  • Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options. Click Advanced (under the Privacy tab for IE 7 and 8). Select Override Automatic Cookie Handling. Select the Accept or Prompt option under First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies. Note: If you select Prompt you will be prompted to click OK every time a website attempts to send you a cookie. In the Internet Options window, click OK.
  • Firefox: Go to Tools > Options. Select Privacy and under the History section set the Firefox will drop-down list to Use custom settings for history. Select Accept cookies from sites to enable cookies, or clear to disable them. Then, click OK.
  • Safari: Go to Safari > Preferences. Select Security and under Accept Cookies select Only from sites you navigate to.

  How do I add a cover letter/resume/references/etc. to my application?

You must combine any materials (letter of interest, curriculum vitae, resume, references, etc.) into one PDF or Microsoft Word document and upload as your resume attachment.  Limit document name to 50 characters.  File size is limited to 11MB.  

  How do I change my password? (For External Applicants only)

To change your password, sign in to the Careers page. Click on the Applications link on the top menu. Next, click on the Edit Profile link below your name. This will bring you to the Edit Profile page. Click the Change Password link to enter a new password.

  How do I change my contact information? (For External Applicants only)

To edit your contact information, sign in to the Careers page. Click on the Applications link on the top menu. Next, click on the Edit Profile link below your name. This will bring you to the Edit Profile page where you can change your name, address, e-mail address, and phone number.

How do I view previous applications and cover letters?

To view previous applications, sign in to the Careers page. Click on the Applications link (or My Career Tools) on the top menu. Under the Applications group box, you will see a list of all applications you have either saved or submitted. To view an application, click on the corresponding job title link. Only an application that is in “Not Applied�? status can be updated. To view the cover letter for an application, click on the corresponding file name to access the applications.  TIP: Be sure to use a name related to the position you are applying for.

Ensure you have only one browser window open at a time when using the system.  If you take any of the above steps to resolve your problem, close your web browser and restart your computer.

To prevent the loss of information entered on your application and to ensure that it is saved, click Save & Continue frequently after entering any information.

When trying to access the Help link and you are using Firefox as your web browser, you may receive a message stating, "This Connection is Untrusted."  Click I Understand the Risks to proceed.  Note, you may have to click this link more than once when accessing the Help link and subsequent help information.

If you continue to experience problems, try using a different computer (e.g., a friend's computer, at the local library, or a workstation in Human Resources).  A different computer may be configured differently. For additional technical assistance, contact your campus Help Desk.
