Beginning Tuesday, July 6, 2010, Human Resource Services will present informational workshops twice a month for faculty and staff who will conduct, assist, or participate in the hiring process for faculty or staff positions.  Information covered in the workshops will include faculty/staff hiring guidelines, UM system and campus affirmative action policies, UM system's policy on interviewing, reference checking, and disposition codes.

Workshops are scheduled for the first Tuesday of every month at 12:00 noon, and the third Wednesday of every month at 3:00 p.m.  (See schedule below for exact dates.)

Faculty and staff who are involved in the recruiting or hiring process will need to attend a workshop prior to interviewing candidates for vacant positions.  You need only attend one workshop annually.  Questions regarding the workshops can be directed to Human Resource Services, ext. 6314.
